Christy Essien Igbokwe, Nigeria’s ‘Lady Of Songs’ and Former President, Performing Musicians’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN) (Nigeria)

Christy’s father refused to see her and her mother when she was born. His reason was that her mother delivered her in a hospital – against his wish. Christy didn’t live with her parents and only knew her mother for five months. She had a nomadic childhood, before being adopted by her friend’s mother. Wading through various storms of life, Christy, sadly now deceased, soon discovered her talent in music, and the world discovered her.
