Aminata Ndiaye, Public Administrator and Politician (Senegal)

Aminata Mbengue Ndiaye is a prominent politician and current mayor of the city of Louga, north- west Senegal. She was a former minister in the government of President Abdou Diouf, holding key positions in the Ministry of Women, Children and the Family and the Ministry of Social Development and National Solidarity. She began her career as a teacher and was a prominent athlete who represented Senegal in international sporting events in the 1970s.
